Easy Homemade Granola

Homemade Granola
I was on a mission to find the best homemade granola recipe and I’m happy to report that I did it! Not only is this the best tasting granola, it’s also super easy. It’s a win in all areas! The only problem is keeping it stocked in my pantry. It’s that good! It literally disappears by the handful 🙂

Some of you may be a little nervous when you see the coconut listed as an ingredient. I have one kiddo that does not like coconut AT ALL but loves this granola. Often times when people ask me for this recipe after tasting it, they are surprised to learn that coconut is one of the ingredients. So…if you’re not a huge coconut fan, I’d still encourage you to give this a try. It really doesn’t taste like coconut at all.

Substitutions/Additions for Easy Homemade Granola:

  • eliminated the raisins…I love it so much without the raisins that I’ve just never even tried a batch with them included.
  • sliced almonds instead of slivered
  • avocado oil instead of vegetable oil

Tips for making Easy Homemade Granola:

  • Be sure to use salted cashews. The salt balances nicely with all the other sweet flavors and additions to this recipe.
  • Make sure your oven is at 250 degrees. If you cooked something prior, be sure to let it cool down first or your granola will be a little too toasted.
  • Cook on baking sheets lined with silicone liners to prevent any sticking. These are the sets I have and LOVE. The liners fit perfectly in the pans. I bought these back in 2019 and always use them together (except when broiling). My pans still look brand new and the liners are in perfect condition.

One of my loves that I mentioned in the video are these bag clips (I had used one on the bag of coconut). Seriously LOVE them! No more little twisty plastic ties in my house. Once a bag is opened, one of these fancy clips gets attached. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE…and you get 12 in this pack!
